My biggest problems come when logging on...apparently WoW has a very specific problem with certain brands of wireless router and card combinations that I happened to pick, and it only happens sometimes, not always, and switching from 802.11g protocol to 802.11b temporarily will often fix it.
It's crazy. But now we (myself plus the guy whose router I'm using, for the price of ten bucks a month) have figured out that strategy to solve the problem, hopefully. Also, for testing purposes, we installed WoW on two other computers (a desktop and a laptop). It runs surprisingly well on the laptop, and he's now using the 10-day free trial account that came with my purchase of a regular account.
Did I ever find you on Feathermoon? If you ever make it back there, my main Alliance char is Hadoru the Night Elf; my main Horde char is Lupiko the Tauren. Both are Druids and Engineers. Maximum antisocialization and geekiness. You go off into the wilderness to commune with nature, and when you get back, you spend the remainder of your time in the workshop, tinkering. Nature geek + technology geek == no social life.
Plus I'll be able to make EZ-Thro Dynamite to hand out. *giggle* (Well, Lupiko can already make it, but Hadoru hasn't yet been able to find it on the Ironforge Auction House.)
