Dreamset
Had a couple dreams. (Actually, I had a couple the night before too, but I don't remember them very well. Something about tracking down and shooting at people, both of them.)
The first one takes place from the perspective of main-me.
A big mall, fairly fancy-looking as malls go. I don't remember many actual stores in here, and I never saw a food court. The only place I can remember in this mall besides the main walking-around area (whatever that's called) was a place that made, sold, and installed high-tech prosthetics. I had one from this place, as I 'woke up' here.
Seems my right arm had been removed just below the elbow, and then again later at the wrist, as surmised by me because there were two scars at those places on my right arm. As some kind of weird extra that served no funtion in the dream except to distract people, the tip of my little finger could - with some concentration - unfold into a baby-sized functioning hand. Which happened four or five times in the dream, whether to make little kids say "Eww!" and keep staring, or just to make people look at it once I had their attention as some sort of proof of who I was.
Later on, suddenly, I'm running through neighborhoods away from the chinese mafia. I don't know why. I meet Wang Chi (from Big Trouble in Little China - I hope you know this movie) and he tells me to look for him later so he can help me find some emperor or other. He writes some stuff on my shirt (in chalk) and runs off, because we're now under attack from the chinese mafia. Afterwards, I go looking for him, but instead eventually find the emperor, who, along with his advisor, berates me for not being the person they're looking for, despite showing off the hand/finger-thingy. And they also notice my left eye, which had also apparently been replaced with something noticable. Then they read my shirt, got all quiet and pale, and made me a citizen of whatever place the emperor was emperor of. I don't know how that was supposed to help me, but eh. Then blackness.
I wake up again in some room, and there's my tombstone, and a recently-filled grave. Seems they faked my death or something, I think.
I start to leave the room, and the dream ends.
Something odd about it, but I'm not sure what to make of it.
This one takes place from the perspective of an extra personality by the name of Erdak, I suspect.
Lost in some not-quite-jungle/forest-type setting. I meet a white-beardedman out here, and we hear and see some raptor-dinosaurs in the distance. So we run inside a nearby wooden shack, and I try fighting off the one raptor that followed us (with punches no less. No real effect, but it takes time) while the older guy starts some sonic device that keeps the raptors away. It only works while someone is operating it, as there's no actual electricity to be had out here, and no genuine sunlight for solar, either.
He explain this is a sort of zoo world of some sort, and some sort of accident (teleporter?) occasionally leaves people in the exhibits instead of the viewing zones. Only no one seems to notice or help people out here. We can travel between different exhibits by means of some doors which only open for humans, but other things could get through while they're open. Most ofthe other areas are even worse, and we end up staying in one where there's some...vaguely humanoid...things that'd eat us, but won't go near us when we sleep. *shrug*
One area has some incredibly nasty beetles the size of a foot which nothing known will eat or willingly go near. After catching several and coating our clothing with crunched-up bits of them (Where's the zoo personnel supposed to be watching them? Ah well, there were thousand of the nasty critters) we could wander around the different exhibits with impunity, and nothing trying to kill or eat us.
We'd just entered a new area with lots of blue-white colored mountain lions when I woke up.
These last couple sets have been pretty draining. I'm waking up more tired than when I go to sleep.
