jacel has gotten me into a game called Improbable Island. I think I'm going to play it for a bit. Even if:
"Your mount has been upgraded! You now ride Son of Budget Horse!
Also you're going to hell!"

I didn't get as far as the Failboat when it zapped me. The only command available was daily news which I thought was a 'check the MoTD while you wait for the next in-game day' and not 'go on to the failboat'. I've since died a couple more times and figured it out a bit more.

I'm pretty sure any improbable event could either be good or bad as determined by random chance.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. An old man just whacked me with the Ugly Stick.

That happened to me the other day, and the Ugly Stick lost one point of charm. ;.;

I'm not sure I'll keep playing. There are certainly some improbable things, but a lot of the game seems to be random pop culture references and an expectation of vulgarity and violence on behalf of the player-character. It's also very time-consuming. ^.^;;

This is a test of the comment-on-your-comment-from-my-own-post emailing thingy of LJ. And also a note of sadness that my time in Oklahoma left my account in ruins. (I wasn't going to play for much longer anyway, but still.)
