But I'm doing them anyway. I updated to Firefox 1.0, finished a report due next week, and have two left to go over the next two weeks.

Gamewise, I'm still going slow. Finishing my La Pucelle challenge is taking too long, since I don't get to play often. RPGWO is getting annoying, or maybe I'm just tired of the incessant clone attacks and people spamming all over the globals. Endless Online has fewer nice people and more and more rude ones, so I'm torn as to whether to continue there. The Mech Crusaders and Kingdom of Loathing I'm still enjoying quite a bit. I do still play Eternal Duel every so often, but only if I'm bored and don't know what else to do at the time.

One of the peoples up the hill runs a dojo, and has offered to let me in at greatly reduced price, if I can spare the time. (He also runs the weekly RPgames up there.) I dunno yet. I'm worried about what will happen if I actually train in any kind of fighting/self-defense.

Edit-orial extra: I reentered Nationstates. Here you can find my new country, Sparksoluria.

If it was anything like a certain martial-arts school in a certain comic, I'd have quit my college for it.

As it is, I think he wants me to join just so he has more actual students for onlookers, also he thinks I may be good at it. One of the other (few) blackbelts asked me if I'd trained before, as my movements seemed better than the total novice I am.

I'm scared I might be very good at it. *Thinks of Xenogears for a few seconds*

What's to be scared of? C'mon, become a master blackbelt and be so powerful the great protector itself would beckon to your every whim! It'll be fun, trust me! :D

You ever played Xenogears?

Well, for my nearly three decades now, I've been careful to not learn how to fight, or even train my muscles up too much. There are reasons for this, related to my personality experiments.

Anyway, on the discount I'm being offered, my conscience won't let me do more than taking the opening exercises. It's not that he's not making money on my deal, he's losing money.

or even train my muscles up too much.

If you don't want to fight, and I do, and we've both done personality experiments...maybe just different personality experiments? Anyways, if you're going to be good at something, then by all means do it!

Oy...

I might as well, really. Okay, but I warn you, if the wrong personality breaks loose and I start a trail of mass destruction, it's up to you to try and stop me/put me back together, got it? =)

Just curious...... haven't played Xenogears, so I don't quite understand the personal conflict you are experiencing. What is Xenogears like?
I can relate to your concern that you might actually be very good at something that you're hesitant in going for.

Good luck with your maritial arts dilemma. :)

Xenogears is...a long story.

The specific issue concerning me is the one of multiple personalities. Or, if that topic is uncomfortable, think of it as berserkness. My father has snapped before, and grandfather has, etc. As in they saw red, and next thing they know, several people are having to hold them down to prevent them doing something nasty/permanent. Thus far I have remained in control, sometimes barely.

As to the quote, I do indeed fear that. Especially if I am powerful and something gets loose.

You know, my dark side isn't mindlessly destructive. It just...nah. Nobody needs to know. >:P

No, that's not my dark side. Just the mean one.
