I worked for about an hour and a half today, then my coworker-turned-supervisor (he'd be my manager, but he only manages me) gave me a note:
1. You're not fired.
2. Quietly pack your stuff for the weekend and meet me outside.
Having done so, I was told to go home. Long story short, the main boss-guy thinks I'm ugly and smell funny. I should have known it would happen as soon as I wrote that in the recent entry....
To make the story a bit longer, Bossman thinks I'm too unkempt and odorus to be seen by clients, and since we're such a small company, I kind of have to meet them from time to time.
Sure, I stink. I shower every day, even use deordorant once in a while, though it does little good (and I think that stuff stinks, personally), but I still stink. And I like garlic. And my breath smells weird unless I drink mouthwash every few hours. This is why I look for the jobs where few have to deal with me, and vice-versa. If I wanted to deal with people, I'd be a salesman. If people want to deal with me but want me to smell good all the time, they can get me clothes made of solid Febreeze, or wear a gas mask. (I've got three at home.)
I'll go get a haircut. It's about time for that anyway.
