Got sent home after a half hour of work. For being stinky.

Okay, either boss-guy has super-sensitive sense o' smell enough to smell me from a room away when both rooms are air-conditioned, he can see smells (or my odor is so bad it can be seen), or something else is up and he's too polite (ha) to fire me.

I mean, sure, I didn't shower this morning, we had no water (our well stopped last night, just as I finished my shower). I explained this.

Is stinkyness (or rather, smelling like a human) so bad? There's a big 'natural' kick these days, but I guess that only applies to food and exercise, not scent. Oh, wait, 'natural' food is still rather surprising in content. I guess 'natural' is a state of mind? Eh, whatever.

I begin search for other employment. If my B.O. is worse than ever and the problem, I'll know it soon. If not, is firing because of personal scent a form of discrimination?

Science!

You know, it could be hormonal. The boss-man might be picking up chemical signals that the mammalian part of him Just Doesn't Like. (Another big, strong male?) This kind of thing actually happens.

Possible. I'd find it hilarious if that's the case, provided I'm not actually fired over it. Me, big and strong? Gmmphsnortgiggle!
(Sort of maniacal, head down on the desk, vaguely sad, pounding the desk with fists laughing hilarious, but laughworthy nonetheless. This would likely be the scene for a few minutes at work if actually fired, by the way. Which might make the others in the office a touch worried for a while.)
