About online games, and you people.

The Spark is wondering, that out of the people that reads this (and I read more than just the people who read mine, of course), who plays games online? Which games do you play, and if servers/shards/worlds/etc. are involved, which ones do you play on?
Sparksol wishes to know this information, that the Spark has a better chance of playing with someone known to the Spark. Sparks doesn't know why Spark is speaking third person.
For my part, I play a few games. I play Kingdom of Loathing, and ROSE Online occasionally, and have just - after breaking down slightly - Runescape. Once I played Ultima Online, but it's been years, and I'd rather not play that again without other people, for various reasons which I won't go into unless people ask about it during a time I happen to remember what the reasons are.
Second Life is out, mainly because of my dial-up copnnection. I've seen something called Project Entropia, but it's probably out forme since I'd have to effectively download 600 MB of "updates" on dial-up. Which is too bad, it looks pretty interesting.
Noting how many people have talked about it, I've been looking around at information about City of Heros(Villains) and at World of Warcraft (which, out of the two, I lean towards). I've even looked at Guild Wars (which also has a slight lead in that it's free to play.) Seeing as I could only afford one at most, and could only play sporadically anyway, I'm wondering what I could get into that I'd have a good chance of playing with people I know, however tenuously.
I'd try to get games going with people whose faces I know, but strangely enough, almost none of them play anything online.
Edit: Found a neat game some of you may have already heard of.

Date: 2005-07-03 01:49 pm (UTC)Haven't played Kingdom of Loathing in quite awhile either. In fact, lately I can't play any online games, with the moving and the shaking and the whatnot. ;P
FFXI (Ramuh server) - going to go back to FFXI now that I have a job~ this will be when I actually have internet connection in my room (well, I'll go back to all games when I have that XD; )
RO (two naughty private servers)
Mabinogi - I've been getting into drooling over foreign games lately over at onrpg.com and one of them happens to be Mabinogi. Have a Korean main account now thanks to that little girl who's amazed I'm an adult playing games. Really wanna try it out. ;_;
MagiKnights - this is a 2d free game I was playing before I moved. It's okay if you have a lot of time to kill. But like onrpg.com, it has a lot of "omg netspeak blow-a-gasket-whenever-something-bugs-you" kids.
Gaia Online - still don't know whether to call this a game or not.
Progress Quest - ditto, but still fun. XD I like checking every morning to see whether my two rivals are ahead of me, even though they don't even know who I am or know they're my rivals. >D
I think that's it~

Also would like to try Tales Weaver, but I think all its servers are pay to play. ;_;

"Well, how many do I get?"
"You're not cleared for that information."
I've been meaning to download Rose Online, but I've already got enough games going around. I don't play as much Runescape now (I'm on server 37, the second Toronto server, but like to go to ones where there're less people). I still do play Kingdom of Loathing, but mostly to try to get the trophies prior to Ascension. I'm hesitant to join/buy new games, mostly because I know I'll lose interest eventually.
I really must try to play 1000 blank cards. The problem would be actually buying the index cards and cutting them up.

Date: 2005-07-07 02:41 am (UTC)I don't play Online anymore, but a while ago I was playing Ragnarok Online, used to be on international, than local, than private. Dabbled with Runescape a bit. I also played much Utopia.
