Short not-home update.

I'm randomly wandering the web from a friend's place while my power is out. Yay me.
Anyway, one of the things I found,or maybe rediscovered. Firstly, while I was a bit idly disapointed that the earth has not yet been destroyed, I happened on The Zen of Snorlax, and I rather liked it. There's something there that appeals, or maybe it's just the thought of sleeping for who knows how long, without worrying.

It sounds like you're both in and out of character at different points, and possibly (and confusingly) even at the same time.
And then there's all this existential stuff about you wondering if you're actually alive. Though I struggle more with the similar thought that it might be that I may as well not be alive.

Date: 2006-04-19 10:30 pm (UTC)The existential stuff stems from a few old personal experiences with living and certain religions ; if you're born dead (no heartbeat, life signs) and survive the process, is the soul the same one? Is it doomed to hell having died without baptism? Etcetera. I don't let it apply to my actual life, since my beliefs about the whole mess are pretty open-minded by most standards.
