My dad's mother fell and hit her head on friday, but seemed okay. She was active enough, so no one did anything. Around 6am this morning, my parents got a call that she'd fallen into a coma. I drove them to the airport (as my relatives on that side live in oklahoma and we're on the west coast here) and I started back home, as there's not enough money for anyone else to go out there.
Turns out, a few minutes after they'd gotten into the airport, my grandmother died.

My relatives on that side tend to live long, she could've kept going for another decade if not for this. Her husband is gone, lost to Alzheimer's though still with a pulse. I don't wonder which is better.
